Chinese New Year Carnival 2015
The Chinese New Year Carnival 2015 is a magnificent production featuring amazing Chinese acrobats and dancers performing together made up of Chinese musicians using authentic Chinese instruments performing an extravaganza of musical solos, balancing acts, beautiful dancing and breathtaking dare devil feats. China’s cultural treasures are highlighted in a new unique perspective comprised of top-level artists and entertainers who will dazzle audiences with their visually breathtaking performances and exquisite costumes. This dynamic production will be a fun-filled feast for the eyes.
Chinese New Year Carnival 2015 to tour in Canada from February 24th to March 15th 2015, will give eight performances respectively in Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, Winnipeg, Calgary, and Vancouver.
. Brought to Canada by Legend of China courtesy of the Canada-China Cultural Development Association, the show is a rare opportunity to experience the celebrations of the biggest holiday in the Chinese calendar, first-hand. This national show is presented by Brita Canada.
About the China Broadcasting Traditional Orchestra
Based in Beijing, the China Broadcasting Traditional Orchestra is one of the most prominent ensembles of its kind. Featuring a large range of traditional instruments, it is considered one of the best Chinese folk music orchestras in the world. Combining more than 30 types of traditional and contemporary instruments, the Orchestra has been performing internationally for over 50 years.
The orchestra’s musicians utilize more than 30 types of traditional and modernized Chinese instruments as well as cello- and double bass-like instruments called laruan and dalaruan. Since 1957 it has performed overseas in the USSR, Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, Romania, Yugoslavia, Albania, Germany, Italy, Japan, and Malta. The group’s concerts are always extremely well received.

Also based in Beijing the China National Performing Arts Troupe will feature acrobats performing balancing acts and dare devil feats along with beautiful traditional Chinese dancers, singers, magicians and soloists.
